This guide explains how to cancel your Cloaked subscription, stop future payments, and understand what happens to your account after cancellation.
Before You Cancel
When a subscription ends, active protections such as data removal and identity shielding stop running. Over time, personal information that was previously suppressed may begin to reappear through data brokers and marketing databases.
If you are experiencing an issue, have questions about your plan, or are unsure whether cancellation is the right next step, our support team is available around the clock by phone, chat, and email. We are happy to help, and in many cases can resolve the issue quickly.
How to Cancel Your Cloaked Subscription
How you cancel depends on how you originally paid for your subscription.
If you subscribed through Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through the app store.
If you subscribed through PayPal, you will complete cancellation through PayPal.
If you subscribed using a credit card, you can cancel directly inside Cloaked.
When you tap Cancel in the Cloaked app, you may be redirected to PayPal, Apple, or Google. This is expected. These providers manage the billing for your subscription, and only they can stop future charges. The redirect simply takes you to the correct place to securely complete your cancellation.
If you paid directly with a credit card, your cancellation will complete inside Cloaked without any redirect.
To begin, make sure you are logged in to your Cloaked account, then follow the instructions below based on your device and payment method.
On a Computer
If you subscribed using a credit card or PayPal, you can cancel from a web browser.

Click Confirm to finalize
Method 2: PayPal Account (PayPal subscriptions only)

After You Cancel: Account Status
When your subscription is canceled, your account becomes read-only. You can still log in and view your existing information, but all active features are disabled.
Here's what changes:
Feature | Status After Cancellation |
Existing Logins | Available. You can still view and copy your passwords. |
Data Removal | Stopped. Automated scans and broker removal requests will end. |
Cloaked Identities | You cannot create new ones or use existing ones for calls/texts. |
Identity Theft Insurance | Expired. Your $1M Identity Theft insurance coverage will end. |
Cloaked Pay & VPN | Disabled. You will no longer be able to use these tools. |
Due to system-level phone carrier settings, you must manually turn off Call Guard after canceling.
Refund Policy
Refund eligibility and terms are outlined in our Terms of Service.
All refund requests are reviewed manually by our support team. To request a refund, please contact support using the chatbot.
Canceling vs. Deleting Your Account
It is important to understand the difference between canceling and deleting your account.
Canceling stops future billing and places your account in a read-only state. Your data remains accessible, and you may resubscribe later.
Deleting is a permanent action that erases your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
