View Call History and Voicemails

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Your Call Guard history is the central place to review screened calls, see who tried to reach you, and listen to voicemails left by legitimate callers.

This guide explains where to find your call log, how to interpret what you see, and what to do if something doesn’t look right.

Where to Find Your Call & Voicemail History

All Call Guard activity lives inside the Cloaked mobile app.

  1. Open the Cloaked app on your phone

  2. Tap the Phone icon in the bottom navigation bar

Here, you’ll see a complete history of inbound calls, including:

  • All: Shows every call that was routed through Call Guard.

  • Missed: Shows missed calls from contacts and callers who passed Call Guard screening but were not answered.

  • Voicemail: Voicemails left by legitimate callers

  • Spam: Callers that were blocked by the Call Guard assistant

Each entry shows when the call occurred and what action Call Guard took.

Viewing Voicemails

When a caller leaves a voicemail, it will appear in the Voicemail tab.

For each voicemail you can:

• Listen to the voicemail audio
• Read the voicemail transcript
• See when the call occurred
• View the caller’s original phone number

Voicemails handled by Call Guard appear inside the Cloaked app, not in your phone carrier’s voicemail inbox.

Understanding What You’re Seeing

Understanding “Verified Caller”

When Call Guard receives a call from a number that is not in your contacts, it screens the caller before allowing the call to reach you.

If the caller passes the screening process and the call is connected, your phone may display “Verified Caller” or your Cloaked Call Guard number.

This means:

• The call came from a number not saved in your contacts
• Call Guard screened the call
• The caller passed screening and was allowed through

No screening system is perfect, so occasional spam calls may still pass through.

If you want to see the original phone number, you can view it in the Calls tab in the Cloaked app.

Why some legitimate calls may show as blocked

In some cases, a real caller may appear in the Spam tab.

This can happen if:

• The caller hangs up before completing screening
• The caller does not respond to the screening prompt
• The call is flagged by spam detection signals

In these situations, the call may appear as Spam Blocked even if the caller was legitimate.

How to Call Someone Back

One-tap callbacks from the Call Guard call log are not currently supported.

To return a call:

  1. Open the Calls tab in the Cloaked app

  2. Tap the call entry to view the caller’s original phone number

  3. Open your phone’s native dialer and place the call manually

Troubleshooting Common Issues

My call log is empty, shows “0 calls,” or voicemails are missing

If you received a notification but don’t see anything in your Calls tab:

  1. Update the Cloaked app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play

  2. Log out of and re-log into the app and check the Calls tab again

If the issue continues:

  • Your call and voicemail data has not been deleted

  • Please contact Cloaked Support and include a screenshot so we can help investigate

I see a transcript but no voicemail audio

This usually means the app needs to resync.

To fix it:

  1. Sign out of the Cloaked app

  2. Sign back in

  3. Reopen the Calls tab and try again.
