Using the Cloaked Browser Extension to Autofill and Create Identities

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Once the Cloaked browser extension is installed, you can use it to autofill saved credentials, create new Cloaked identities during signup, and quickly access login details on supported and unsupported websites.

Prerequisites

  • A Cloaked account

  • Cloaked browser extension installed and logged in

  • Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, or Brave)

Autofilling Existing Identities on Desktop

When the Cloaked extension is active, it automatically detects login forms on supported websites.

  • Look for the Cloaked icon next to a username, email, or password field

  • Select the suggested identity to autofill saved credentials

  • This works for both Cloaked-generated identities and imported logins

Creating New Identities with the Extension

When signing up for a new website, the extension can generate credentials for you automatically.

  • Visit the signup page with the extension enabled

  • Cloaked detects the site and prompts you to create a new identity

  • Generate an email, phone number, username, and password

  • Save the identity and continue signup

All generated details are saved to your Cloaked account and sync across devices.

If Autofill Doesn’t Work on a Website

Some websites use form fields that the extension cannot automatically detect. In these cases, you can still use Cloaked manually.

Creating an Identity Manually

  • Click the Cloaked extension icon

  • Select Create new identity

  • Enter or confirm the website name

  • Generate the credentials you need

  • Save the identity

Manually Filling Login Information

  • Open the Cloaked extension

  • Search for the identity

  • Use the Copy buttons to copy credentials

  • Paste them into the website’s login fields

Creating Accounts on Unsupported Websites

For most sites, Cloaked detects signup flows automatically. For unsupported sites:

  1. Visit the website with the extension enabled

  2. Click the Cloaked extension icon

  3. Select Create new identity

  4. Generate the required credentials

  5. Copy and paste them into the signup form

  6. Complete verification using emails or codes visible inside the extension

Logging In to Unsupported Websites

Logging in remains simple even if autofill is unavailable:

  • Open the website’s login page

  • Click the Cloaked extension

  • Select the correct identity (or search for it)

  • Copy the required credentials

  • Paste them into the login form and sign in

Autofill on Mobile Devices

Cloaked also supports autofill on mobile for logging into websites and apps. Mobile autofill does not generate new identities, but it allows quick access to existing credentials.
