Cloaked Automations help you take action on your privacy and security across the internet — all from one place.
When you sign up for Cloaked, we immediately begin scanning hundreds of data broker sites to identify where your personal information may be exposed. That process starts right away and can take several days to fully complete.
Cloaked’s Data Removal service focuses on submitting removal requests to those public data brokers.
Automations extend that protection by helping you take additional actions that fall outside traditional broker removals.
What Are Automations?
Automations allow Cloaked to complete privacy and security actions on your behalf, without requiring you to manually navigate multiple websites or account settings.
With Automations, you can:
Remove your information from brokers that require additional steps
Opt out of marketing and advertising databases
Register your phone number with national privacy registries
Remove yourself from data aggregators and targeting systems
Strengthen your online accounts by updating passwords
These actions address other common ways personal information spreads or is used online, helping you reduce exposure more broadly.
All Automations are organized into simple Automation Packs that you can run in just a few taps.
How Automations Work
When you start an Automation:
An automated browser opens on your device
Cloaked completes and submits the required forms using your profile information
If a step requires your input, the automation will pause and prompt you
You may be asked to:
Solve a CAPTCHA
Enter additional details
Complete a verification step (such as a code or email link)
Once completed, the automation continues and finishes the process.
Automations use the information stored in your Cloaked profile, such as your name, address, email, and phone number, to complete requests accurately.
New Automations are added over time as additional privacy protections become available.
How Automations Differ From Data Removal
Cloaked’s Data Removal service continuously scans hundreds of data broker sites and submits removal requests where your personal information appears.
Automations focus on additional privacy actions that fall outside traditional broker removal, including:
Opting out of marketing and advertising databases
Registering with national privacy protections such as the FTC Do Not Call registry
Removing profiles from corporate data aggregators
Updating passwords and account security settings
Together, Data Removal and Automations provide broader protection across the different ways personal information spreads online.

Automations are organized into Packs, which group related privacy protections together.

How to Run Automations
Running a Pack
Open the Automations tab
Browse available Packs in the carousel
Tap Run All on the Pack you want to start
Review the personal information Cloaked will use (name, address, email, phone)
Tap Start Automations
Cloaked will open an automated browser and begin completing each Automation in the Pack.
A live status screen shows the progress of each task:
Complete
Running
Waiting
When all Automations in the Pack finish, the Pack disappears from the carousel and completed items are saved to your History.
How Long Automations Take
Most Automations complete within a few minutes.
However, some requests depend on external services and may take additional time to fully process after submission.
For example, data broker removals or marketing opt-outs may take several days before the provider fully removes your information.
Your Automation History
Every completed Automation is saved to your History section.
From here you can:
Review what was submitted
Confirm completed requests
Track previously executed Automations
For data broker Automations, Cloaked may continue checking periodically to ensure your removal request is honored and your data does not reappear.
Can I Re-Run an Automation?
Some Automations can be run again if needed.
Data broker removals
Yes. Data brokers may re-list individuals over time, so re-running these Automations can help keep your information removed.
One-time registrations
No. Registrations such as the FTC Do Not Call registry only need to be completed once.
Password resets
Yes. Security Automations can be run again whenever you want to update your credentials.
Troubleshooting
An Automation Failed During a Run
If an Automation fails, you will see options to:
Retry
Skip and Continue
Completed Automations are still saved to your History even if the rest of the Pack did not finish.
You can return later and run any remaining Automations.
The App Was Closed While an Automation Was Running
Automations may stop if the Cloaked app is closed or backgrounded while running.
If this happens, you will see a notification when you return to the app and can retry the Automation.
I’m Not Sure What Information Was Submitted
Automations use the profile details stored in your Cloaked account, including:
Name
Address
Email
Phone number
You can review exactly what was submitted by opening the Automation in your History.
A Profile Detail Used in an Automation Looks Incorrect
If the information used during an Automation is incorrect, open the Automation detail screen and select:
“Are these profile details incorrect?”
This will allow you to contact Cloaked Support and correct the information.
